Mechanical engineering graduate launches career at Raytheon

For University of Arizona mechanical engineering major Will Menaugh, the end of the academic year marks the end of his college basketball career and the start of a promising career in engineering.

Will Menaugh lands a full-time position at Raytheon after completing a full-time internship with the company last summer.
The U of A walk-on center and Tucson native will graduate in May and start at Raytheon, an RTX business, in August as a mechanical engineer.
Menaugh told the Arizona Daily Star he would be doing design engineering for a defense system on boats that protect ships by shooting down incoming missiles.
“It’s nice to get to work on something that can protect our armed forces," he said.
Staying in Tucson means Menaugh can stay close to his parents, who are U of A alumni. However, he is open to the idea of exploring opportunities elsewhere in the future.
“I’ll be here for probably another year or two at least, but I want to go explore some other parts of the country,” he said.
